My name is Jonas Buijs, and I’m a Fine Art Photographer based in Amersfoort, currently studying Graphic Media Designer at Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht.
Start to now
In 2024, I borrowed my mother’s digital camera during a vacation and that moment sparked my love for photography. What started as a curiosity quickly grew into an ongoing exploration of the medium in all its forms. Over time, I’ve gravitated toward street photography as my main focus, while still enjoying landscapes and nature photography now and then. The unpredictability and spontaneity on the street is something no other subject has been able to match for me.
Since then i have released 2 photo books and 3 of my photos got chosen to be featured at the Dutch Design Week 2025.I often go out on “photo walks” with other photographers on the street to see what we can capture!

I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember; starting out as a kid, sketching massive, hulking fish monsters on my primary school’s chalkboard. In 2019, I began focusing more seriously on developing my drawing skills, and since then it’s been a continuous process of learning, experimenting, and refining my style. I’m still learning every day.
