With this first blog, I would like to provide an overview of a number of different projects I have worked on or am still working on.
Past
I am very proud of a number of my latest projects. Such as my first short film: We Mourn All The Innocent, an animation that follows the story of an unmarked bomber during World War II. The film shows that ultimately everyone loses in war, and that we must reflect on all the needless deaths that occur during the many many wars that happened on this planet, and those sadly still to come.
Another completed project I am very happy with is the posters for the so-called Freaky Food Festival. This is a series of three posters, and I chose a sea theme. I personally bought a fish head from the fishmonger for a euro and did a photoshoot with it through the preparation process. The result is a closely connected series that stands out immediately, even though it might be a little creepy!

I also finished my first series of RISO prints. It is a visual of the strong and wise Athena. The print was originally a photo I took of a sculpture of Pallas Athena by famous sculpter Artus Quellinus. A strong photo by itself, the RISO prints made it even stronger. I tried different combinations of colours and angles of print, creating strange 3D like distorded versions. The single colors remind me of old postage stamps. All original copies will soon be available in my shop, signed and printed on A3, each unique!

Now
Currently i’m working on 2 very promising projects. The first is Stop Looking, Start Seeing. My second and first “real” photographic work. A book spanning over 150 photos that encourages the viewer to stop and not only look, but see the real meaning behind a large number of subjects. At the moment I’m adding the last photos to the selection. I hope to have it done and ready for print in the upcoming months.

The other project is still unnamed, but I will start working on it next week. Like the name of this post, it involves the Past, Now and Future. I will be capturing the essence of “Why new generations seek out things from the past” in 3 works. One about the past, one about how it is now and one where i imagine how it will be in the future. Each will be captured with a different analog medium. For the Past i will use a boxcamera and make a darkroom print, the Now will be a shortfilm captured on 8mm movie film and projected with an projector, the Future will be captured on regular 35mm film with a very modern 35mm camera and it will be a photographic series.
Ambitious project for a span of 7 weeks, but that’s just how I roll haha. With the project and chosen mediums I hope to also shed some light on the fight against AI, let’s go back to analog!
Future
A little glimpse behind the curtains!
Not planning on any specifick projects BUT i do have a general goal for my photography! I am trying to set up a company in analog camera repair and with that comes an increasing stockpile of different camera models. This gives me the opportunity to test a whole range of camera’s next to each other. I keep a little “camera journal” every time i use a new one. And i would love to make a photobook somewhere along the line titled something like “A single shot with a 100 cameras” or something like that. I think that would be very interesting.
Another big photography project that i’m very far in already is “The World Under Your Feet”. I think i will be aiming at around 80 photos. The work will focus on close-up photos of moss, mushrooms and other plants/small insects at ground level.

Similairly, I recently started working on taking photo’s for a smaller zine/book I will call “Up”. Which are photo’s of beautiful trees as seen from below. Again encouraging the viewer to enjoy their surroundings more and to look up! Seem to be hitting a consistent theme here hehe.

“Up” will be similair to my series “Moving In Place“(image on right), but with all different photos. At the moment all photos taken for UP are still on undeveloped filmrolls but more will come in the future!

Prachtig Jonas!
Dankjewel! <3
